The Live Shows for Americas Got Talent season 17 will be comprised of fully vaccinated audience members ages 12 and up and will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday starting 8/10/21 through 9/15/21.
If you are already fully vaccinated, you can sign up now and answer yes when asked if you are fully vaccinated when inputting your information. If you are not fully vaccinated yet, you have time to become eligible to attend the first day of the live shows on August 10th. An audience member will be considered fully vaccinated after two weeks have passed after the second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

‘america’s Got Talent’: What Nightbirde Said About Dropping Out Of The Finals
America’s Got Talent Season 16 touched many viewers’ hearts when it told the story of singer Nightbirde .
When the performer appeared during the auditions of the NBC show, she told the judges she had cancer in her liver, lungs and spine that gave her a two percent chance of survival.
Nightbirde moved the judges with original song “It’s OK” and her positive attitude so much that Simon Cowell pressed his Golden Buzzer, giving her an automatic place in the quarterfinals.
However, the singer has revealed on her account that she is unable to compete in that stage of the competition, which is due to start on August 10.

Americas Got Talent : All The Contestants Who Got The Golden Buzzer
Americas Got Talent Season 16 is currently airing on NBC, with auditions set to run throughout June and July. As has been the case on AGT for the last few seasons, each of the hosts and host Terry Crews has a Golden Buzzer which automatically sends their favorite act to the live shows.
A Golden Buzzer can mean big things for an act on the show. Acts who were buzzed with it and then went on to win include last seasons champ Brandon Leake , Season 14 winner Kodi Lee and Season 12 victor Darci Lynne . What Did The ‘america’s Got Talent’ Judges Say
After a standing ovation from the audience, Mandel called her performance “the most authentic thing this season.” Vergara called it “powerful and heartfelt,” and Klum said Nightbirde’s voice gave her “chills.”
Cowell choked up during his review, saying her song “really got to me.”
“There was something about that song after you casually just told us what you are going through,” Cowell said, holding back tears. “There have been some great singers this year and I’m not going to give you a yes, Im going to give you something else.”
Cowell hit his Golden Buzzer, which advances Nightbirde directly past auditions to the live shows in the reality competition.

Real: Cowell Complimented Courtney Hadwin Behind The Scenes
Courtney Hadwin is a British teen who wowed everyone with her rendition of the song Hard to Handle. In fact, it left Cowell impressed. Hadwin recalled to Good Housekeeping, I was really nervous to get in front of Simon, because Simon is Simon. When I watched him on Americas Got Talent and Britains Got Talent on YouTube it made me nervous. But Simon was very nice. He came back and shook my dads hand . Then Simon said that of all of the shows, my audition was the best. I was really excited when he said that.

Got Wrong: The Hudson Brothers
Ok, these guys can be kind of funny, but not golden buzzer funny. Emmanuel and Philip Hudson auditioned for season nine of AGT, as a comedy duo. Coming out in a wig, a dress and some exaggerated makeup, bashing a certain type of woman can only go so far before its just annoying, and downright insulting. Unlike a lot of Golden Buzzer winners, half of the judging panel didnt even want to vote them through, which is a bit unusual. They were awarded their moment by judge Howie Mandel, who gave them the Golden Buzzer because he believed they could be very successful comedians.

Madilyn Bailey Embraces The Haters

Madilyn has long been posting videos to YouTube and then using the ugliness of Internet trolls to make music.
For her audition, she sings an original tune written entirely using the hateful, awful comments left on her YouTube videos by commenters.
The song itself is shockingly powerful, to see how this woman is able to take such vitriol and turn it into something powerful and inspiring.
The best part is having the actual comments pop up along with the lyrics, and it feels honest and powerful.
Surprisingly, Heidi isn’t thrilled by the act, but through the convincing of Howie ends up giving her a yes vote. Meanwhile, the other judges are absolutely won over by her and vote yes as well.
Terry Crews Golden Buzzer
In week three, Terry Crews was so impressed by the World Tae Kwan Do Demonstration Team that he hit the Golden Buzzer for them, sending them straight to the live shows. I have never seen anything like that in my life! Crews commented while the broken boards from the teams flying feet kicks were floating around the stage like confetti. The World Tae Kwan Do demonstration team is comprised of members from around the world, including South Korea and the U.S.

Chapkidz Came To Shine

This dance act, made up of kids between the ages of 12 and 18, are trying to show the judges how much they’ve been inspired by watching AGT while growing up.
Citing past acts as their major inspiration, the Chapkidz are a well-oiled group dance machine that bring a gymnastic flair and an ethereal, captivating choreography.
“It was really fun. And I loved the music,” Sofia marvels.
“You showed up for an audition like you were already in a semifinal or a final,” Howie says.
“There’s no question this is one of the best dance acts we’ve had all season,” Simon shares.
The group ends up getting four yes votes and they will be moving on to the next round to show off their stuff one more time.
Like Mother Like Daughter

For the judges, when Gigi DeLuxe describes her daughter, Devin, as a “human target,” it seemed to make the judges uneasy.
And the act itself is harrowing — the mom shoots balloons being held by her daughter with a compound bow. It’s horribly tense and stressful.
However, Gigi is clearly talented, and she manages not to kill her own daughter! So that’s a plus.
Howie feels there’s not enough energy or production value, so he votes no, but Simon, Heidi and Sofia love the act and vote yes, meaning we’ll see more of this soon.

What Does It Mean To Receive A Golden Buzzer
Any acts that receive a Golden Buzzer from one of the judges automatically move on to the live shows, which will air later on in the season.
According to Channel 3 News in Las Vegas,Americas Got Talent will be heading to the Las Vegas strip as part of a residency.
I am beyond thrilled that this is now going to happen, Simon Cowell said in a press release, according to the outlet. And extremely proud to be working with MGM and to have the Luxor Hotel as our home.
There will be multiple acts from Americas Got Talent performing on the strip each Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Luxor Theater. They will not be performing on Mondays or Tuesdays, however.

Islam began his singing career at the early age of three. His passion for music led his path to musical theater, where he started performing at local theaters. Islam has seen countless Broadway shows and received the opportunity to belt it out on stage at one of them. Being a Broadway performer has been a goal of his for as long as he can remember. On season 14, he used the Americas Got Talent stage to make his dreams a reality.

Before singing, he was asked who his favorite judge was, and sure enough, he expressed his admiration for Hough. Islam shared that he has been following the judges dancing career for quite some time. When his performance was over, he was greeted with a standing ovation from the entire room, as well as an emotional response from Hough herself. The judges decision to give Islam the Golden Buzzer sent the rising star straight to the Quarterfinals.
Now, in addition to being a singer, Islam is a newfound actor. Aside from his character Koob in The Mighty Ducks, Islam also played Carlos in 13: The Musical on Netflix. With 43,200 followers on Instagram, the singer has only just begun on his rise to stardom.

Got Wrong: Dorothy Williams
Oh Dorothy. She was so charming and entertaining, but not so sure she was Golden Buzzer worthy. Dorothy Williams came on to Americas Got Talent in season eleven, as a 90-year-old burlesque dancer.

It was beyond empowering to watch a woman come on, let alone a woman of her age, with so much spunk, so much movement and energy, but I think it really all depends on what your criteria is for a winning act. Intriguing and cute, yes, but moving? She was rewarded her buzzer moment by judge, Howie Mandel, who felt there was most definitely an audience for her somewhere.
Is Simon Cowell Returning To Agt
The good news is, yes, he will be back, and in his words, better than ever.
Cowell told Parade.com, Honestly, and I shouldnt say this, but it wasnt that bad actually breaking your back. It wasnt great for three or four weeks, but after that I had to do so much exercise, I actually feel better than I did before the accident. I was told off for saying earlier, If you want to feel healthy, break your back. I shouldnt really be saying that, but thats how I feel. And, as has transpired on these interviews, everyone actually had a better time without me.
You probably recall that Cowell broke his back in the middle of the season while riding an electric bike at his home in Malibu. He was rushed to the hospital for a six-hour surgery and missed the rest of the season. He is on his way to a full recovery, according to ET, with daily physical activity, including walking and swimming. Sources told ETin October that Cowell was recovering ahead of what was expected, and, Hes doing over 10,000 steps a day as well as swimming to get his back strong and healed again. He no longer needs to wear a back brace all the time. Hopefully that means well see him in the judges seat next season! We cant imagine the show without him, and were probably not alone in that.

Agt Golden Buzzer Winner #: Sofia Vergaras Pick Jimmie Herrod
Americas Got Talent wouldnt be what it is today without Susan Boyles iconic performance of I Dreamed a Dream, so it makes sense that another Broadway hopeful could take a golden buzzer.
Jimmie sings Tomorrow from the musical, Annie, which any audition coach plus Simon Cowell agree is the worst audition song of all time. But Jimmie knocks it out of the park with his smooth tone and wide range, comparable only to Billy Porter, and Sofia is moved to use her magic buzzer.
Who Qualified For The Semifinals
To date, all the Golden Buzzers of AGT season 16 have qualified for the semifinals. Northwell Health Nurses Choir , Jimmie Harrod , Lea Kyle , World Tae Kwando Demo Team , and Victory Brinker are into the semifinals. However, Nightbirde, who received Golden Buzzer by Simon Cowell, had to leave the competition due to her health issues.
The track record of Golden Buzzers since its introduction is outstanding. The only time when Golden Buzzer holder wasnt a winner was in Season 13.

Guapacharros Switch It Up And Take It Off

Theres nothing like a good, old-fashioned male stripper surprise.
When Guapacharros hit the stage, the judges were expecting a talented group of musicians to impress them with their musical chops.
This is exactly what happened until they all stopped to strip off their shirts and reveal their impressive abs!
Its a fun act that wins the judges over enough to move on.
Week : Terry Crewsworld Taekwondo Demonstration Team
The Olympics‘ loss was AGT‘s gain in Week 3 of the NBC show. The World Taekwondo Demonstration Team is comprised of martial artists who were unable to take part in the Tokyo games due to COVID concerns, so they brought their high-kicking, wood-chopping act to the Talent stage.
Though they may not get Olympic gold, they got the Golden Buzzer from Crews, who said after they had performed, “I have never seen anything like that in my life.”
Cowell also praised the group, saying, “I think what you did was one of the most extraordinary things I’ve ever seen on America’s Got Talent.”

What Nightbirde Said About Dropping Out Of America’s Got Talent
The singer wrote on her Instagram, alongside an image of her with no hair: “Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true. My point of view this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I’ve walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider.
“Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve itbut we knew that already.
“Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me. Stay with me, I’ll be better soon. I’m planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I’ve still got dreams.”
Among those to reply to her message was the official America’s Got Talent Instagram account, which wrote, “we’re keeping you in our thoughts for a full recovery!”
In July, the singer detailed some of her treatment in a Popcrush interview. She told the outlet,”I did chemo earlier in the yearthe cancer treatment that I do now is alternative and like, functional-holistic. I did a form of chemotherapy that’s not very intense, hence why I still have hair. I should have lost it by now but I didn’t, praise God.
