Army Green To Gold Program

The Armys Green to Gold Active-Duty Option Program is a two-year program that allows eligible, enlisted, active-duty soldiers the opportunity to earn their first bachelors degree or their first two-year graduate degree and become commissioned officers.

Upon acceptance into the program, soldiers enter the Reserve Officers Training Corps program at the schools of their choice. They can enter as academic juniors in a four-year college-degree program, or they can enter as first-year, first-term students in a two-year masters degree program. Applicants must graduate within 21 months.

While enrolled in college, soldiers must pay for their educational expenses, including tuition, books and fees. They are ineligible for tuition assistance. However, they can receive any earned GI Bill or Army College Fund benefits.

After earning their degrees, soldiers must continue to serve in the military for at least eight years, which includes three years of active duty followed by five years of active-duty service or service in the reserves.

Guaranteed Reserve Force Duty Scholarship

A good option for Graduate Students.

The GRFD Scholarship is only for those students who are certain that they do not want to enter Active Duty but wish to enter into the National Guard or the Reserves . It is irreversible. The benefit of the GRFD is that it guarantees you a part-time job with a Commission in the Army, and it allows you to pursue a civilian career simultaneously. Students accepting this scholarship are obligated to an 8-year commitment to the National Guard or Reserve Forces, with a commitment to attend Drill duty one weekend a month and a 2-week training period each year.

GRFD Scholarships are offered in increments of 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 years. The 3.5 and 4-year option requires a nomination from the state TAG or the state CASA .

How To Be An Officer | Green To Gold Program

Anyone else getting same edition?

National Guard skin is an early access, not an exclusive skin. You can get it in game or maybe with micro transaction? So I’ll pre-order the standard edition for the hazmat skin.

Edit : I know we get both hazmat and national guard with the gold edition. Please read the replies before telling me that…

You get both haz and guard with preordering the gold. At least that’s what GameStop says

I think they’ll all show up at some point tbh

You get both with gold

Wait… You can get the guard outfit without having to preorder the gold edition? If so that’s awesome because I was on the fence about getting it or not.

This is not correct. The National guard set is not tied to early access, it is part of the gold edition. People who buy the gold edition after launch will also receive the national guard set.

The Hazmat set is a preorder bonus. As of now the only way we know of to receive the hazmat set is to preorder any edition of the game.

In the media frenzy of the past week the Devs have offered contradictory statements about microtransactions, in some interviews they have said that there will be absolutely no microtransactions and in others they have said that there will only be microtransactions for cosmetic items. They have all said that there will be paid DLC, but there has been no word on what they might contain.
