Where Can I Watch Golden Wind

Don't Miss

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind Is Coming To Netflix

(JoJo) Golden Wind ABRIDGED – EP. 1

This December, the story of Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Stardust Crusader Jotaro, is set to land on Netflix via the sixth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Stone Ocean. With the streaming service already including Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, and Diamond Is Unbreakable in its anime catalogue, the day is fast approaching when the story of Giorno Giovanna and the other members of the Passione Mafia will be brought to Netflix as the platform has confirmed that the fifth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will be released in the coming weeks to prepare for Joylne’s introduction.

For those who might be unfamiliar with Golden Wind, the latest season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure follows the story of a young man in Italy looking to overtake a criminal organization known as Passione, with his origins being tied to the nefarious villain of the franchise, Dio Brando. Meeting Bruno Bucciaratti and other allies to his cause that had Stands of their own, Giorno’s journey sees him placed on a collision course with the villain Diavolo, the head of the Passione Mob has an insane Stand of his own in King Crimson. While Giorno won’t be making an appearance in Stone Ocean, the story of Golden Wind is one of the most insane entries of the series to date.

JoJos Bizarre Adventure: Part 5 – Golden Wind is coming to Netflix on November 1st, 2021!!!

STICKER

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood/battle Tendency

The first two parts of JoJo’s were animated together by David Production back in 2012. Called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: The Animation, this first season of the show combined the first chapter of the series starring Jonathan Joestar , Phantom Blood, with Battle Tendency, which starred Jonathan’s grandson Joseph. Both series see the Joestars master the martial art of Hamon and solve the mystery of the evil Stone Mask that turns its wearers into vampires. Jonathan battles his adopted brother Dio as the latter steals the Stone Mask from Jonathan’s father George and dons it for himself. Joseph, meanwhile, must defeat the Pillar Men, a trio of ancient vampires who seek to take over the world.

Worth noting is that these two parts were written in 1987 and might be a little…challenging to get through for the modern anime fan. The anime does a great job to sort of speed things along, but keep in mind that you’re watching a 33-year-old anime. Skipping these parts will ultimately be detrimental to you understanding the backstory to the later parts and missing what might be the “funnest” part in Battle Tendency. Plus, Parts 1 and 2 can be easily streamed on Netflix, and can even be downloaded to a smart device for offline viewing.

It Ties Together With Stardust Crusaders

The final showdown in Golden Wind is one of the biggest and wildest from the entire JoJo series. Team Bucciarati is pushed to their limit and it turns out that the key to defeating Diavolo revolves around a Stand Arrow.

However, the character that holds the key to this item and plays a vital role in the final fight is none other than Jean Pierre Polnareff. Golden Wind gets to function as an odd epilogue to Stardust Crusaders as a result and it gives Polnareff some closure.

Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe

The first detour is a one-shot focused on Rohan Kishibe. In the series, Kishibe travels the world looking for inspiration for his next manga series. It’s very much a shift in tone from the entire JoJo’s series and especially DiU, as it becomes more of a drama-thriller than a shonen action anime.

Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe is one of the few JoJo installments not available on Crunchyroll or Netflix so it can be hard to track down, but it’s absolutely worth a watch.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders

Watch JoJo

Stardust Crusaders, or Part 3, might be the most recognizable part in terms of main characters. This part stars Jotaro Kujo, a buff, oversized high school student, and a returning Joseph Joestar, as they try to save Holly Kujo, their mother and daughter, respectively, from a spiritual force that’s slowly killing her. The duo, along with a cast of other friends, travels across the globe to defeat DIO, who survived the events of Part 1 and amassed an army of Stand users ready to defeat the Crusaders and squash the Joestar bloodline once and for all. Stands are, as Joseph describes, “physical manifestations of a user’s spiritual energy” and take many different forms. Some, like Jotaro’s Star Platinum, are humanoids that enjoy beating the tar out of anything that stands in its way. Others have more niche uses – but all are inherently dangerous.

It Takes Stands To New Places

Stands may have not been present at the very start of JoJos Bizarre Adventure, but theyve definitely turned into one of the biggest and most popular aspects of the series. Each season manages to show off new and more powerful versions of Stands, but Golden Wind takes this progression a step further.

Golden Wind depicts the evolution of Stands, something thats possible if a Stand is pierced by the Stand Arrow. This revelation leads to a fierce hunt for the relic and it shows off just how incredible Stands can become under the right circumstances.

Where To Watch Every Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Series Online

Start binging JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure with one of these streaming services.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has become a modern anime icon. This may be because of its colorful characters, cool powers, or just the fact that it’s inherent bait for memes. For those who have been intrigued by its constant barrage of surreal and quirky memes, the prospect of actually watching JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure must be a daunting one. Not only is it a long-running series building on a manga that is decades old, but it’s also kind of hard to settle on a streaming service.

Much like any other popular anime, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has sold licenses to multiple streaming platforms. However, not every streamer is made the same, and not every season is available on every platform. For those who want some clarity as to what’s available where and if they need to pick up a new subscription, this list will be breaking down some of JoJo’s streaming platforms and what seasons are available on each.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable

Diamond is Unbreakable is the fourth part of the JoJo’s saga and sees a drastic shift in the tone and style of the series. It’s much more colorful, with an abundance of purples, oranges, and yellows, a stark contrast to Stardust’s muted color palette. Things seem a bit more cartoony and the first half of the series is much goofier than its predecessors. That doesn’t last long, as eventually series protagonists Josuke Higashikata, Koichi Hirose, Okuyasu Nijimura, Rohan Kishibe, and the returning Jotaro Kujo encounter a serial killer with a twisted sense of self.

DiU also starts the trend of Araki naming stands after famous music acts and songs, such as Crazy Diamond, Red Hot Chili Pepper, and Killer Queen. Part 4 is a must-watch, and might all-in-all be more fun than even Battle Tendency. It also has the second-best opening which adds to not only the colorful aesthetic but the fun as well.

It Ties Together With Diamond Is Unbreakable

JoJos Bizarre Adventure does careful work with how it connects its different seasons together. Some seasons are the direct continuations of others and feature much of the same cast, albeit in a new context and with fresh faces.

Golden Wind largely begins anew with Giorno Giovanna and the members of Team Bucciarati, but there are still slight connections to the season that comes before it, Diamond is Unbreakable. Golden Wind begins with Koichi running into Gorno after hes sent to Japan by Jotaro. Both of these characters arent in the picture for long, but its still nice to see them.

It Features A New Jojo

Here

One of the best things about JoJos Bizarre Adventure is that is tells a generational story of the various members of the Joestar family. The previous seasons feature an aging Joseph Joestar, as well as the fresh blood, Jotaro Kujo.

It wouldnt be impossible to see the series jump to an elderly Jotaro as the new lead, but instead Golden Wind focuses on Giorno Giovanna. Whats so interesting about Giorno is that while hes technically part of the Joestar lineage, hes actually the son of the villainous DIO, which is a big turn for the series.

There Are 39 Episodes

Sometimes anime series can have so many episodes that they can be intimidating to get started. Golden Wind is a lean 39 episodes, which is nothing unusual for JoJos Bizarre Adventure.

The only JoJo series that has more episodes is Stardust Crusaders, but thats also the only installment thats divided into two seasons so its naturally going to have more episodes. With the trend that both Golden Wind and Diamond is Unbreakablehave set, it wouldnt be surprising for a Stone Ocean anime to also have 39 episodes.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

The most recent part, Golden Wind, takes place in Italy and follows Passione, a team of gang members just trying to make a living. The protagonist, Giorno Giovanna is not only a Joestar by blood, but is also Dio’s son Along with mob capo Bruno Bucciarati, Guido Mista, Narancia Ghirga, and more, the team tries to figure out the identity of the cutthroat “Boss.”

The tone of Golden Wind finds itself between Stardust and DiU, being silly, yet dark at times, especially as the series progresses. Darkness aside, it features the absolute best part in the series so far, where 3 Passione members perform the “Torture Dance,” a bizarre sequence that is as confusing as it is mesmerizing. If you don’t watch any part of this series, at least do yourself the favor and watch that scene.

How To Watch Jojos Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind On Netflix Us

JoJos Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind is set in Italy. The year is 2001. The series is a direct sequel to the events of Diamond is Unbreakable. Koichi Hirose is in Italy on a secret mission. Jotaro Kujo has tasked him to search for Giorno Giovanna. It is unclear what the Kujo wants from Giorno in the beginning. Hes an aspiring mafia gangster and son of Dio Brando. Koichi finds himself amid a feud that has transcended continents and centuries. Is Koichi successful in his mission? Read this detailed guide to learn how to watch JoJos Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind on Netflix US and find out for yourself.

    It Features A New Villain

The first three JoJo seasons have the threat of DIO hang over them and hes understandably a very powerful opponent. Diamond is Unbreakable introduces Kira, whos a literal serial killer and just as powerful, albeit in different ways, but his story gets concluded.

Golden Wind goes ahead and creates a new powerful villain, Diavolo, whos arguably JoJos most complex antagonist yet. Not only is his Stand extremely powerful, but he suffers from a crippling affliction that gives him a lot more depth.

    A Lot Of Story Adjustments

The manga, JoJos Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo, has some of the most creative battles and power sets in the series. Unfortunately, it also contains glaring stretches in logic and ability inconsistencies. Even the best manga authors sometimes struggle to keep things consistent, especially when its a large volume of work. The mistakes just become more noticeable when its a creator of Hirohiko Arakis caliber.

For instance, sometimes a Stand will transform into a more powerful entity when shot by a stand arrow. Other times, it just leaves them and their user wounded. There isnt any explanation given for this inconsistency, and there are more like it within Vento Aureo. Thankfully, the anime will have a chance to clear up most of these issues and better execute the mangas stellar ideas.

Can I Start With Stone Ocean Or Should I Watch The Other Jojo Seasons First

    Jojo

The question of whether or not a viewer could start with Jojo Stone Ocean is a complicated one. We recommend that viewers watch the following arcs before beginning Season 5:

    • Battle Tendency
    • Stardust Crusaders
    • Stardust Crusaders: Egypt Saga
    • Diamond is Unbreakable

Since each arc is a self-contained story, a person could begin Jojo with Stone Ocean. However, theres a lot of material from earlier seasons that are referenced continually in it. Skipping earlier Jojo chapters will cause those references to fly right past a viewer, and the whole thing could be rather confusing.

Stone Ocean throws viewers right into the thick of things without taking much time to explain things like:

    • Why Jolyne is important
    • Why her father Jotaro is a big deal
    • What stands are and how theyre manifested
    • Who Dio is.

Astute viewers will likely be able to deduce some of these things pretty quickly. However, the majority of people will be very confused when a woman in jail starts trying to get a small man in a hollowed-out bird body to do tricks for her or when Jolyne uses Stone Free for the first time, and her body turns to string.

I personally recommend watching all of Jojo before Stone Ocean, but viewing the arcs above will do a good enough job of preparing people for Season 5.
