Great Rides But Fastlane Is Not Fair
I went to King’s Island on May 26, 2012. All together there were 8 of us We love the roller coasters and the park was clean. We went on a Saturday this year because it was the only day that would work for us. We knew we would have to wait in long lines for many of the rides, but we wern’t aware that people are allowed to CUT in line ahead of you because they have purchased expensive FASTLANE tickets. We spent a lot of money for tickets and were just amazed that people who have the money to purchase FASTLANE tickets did not have to wait in line. We went to the waterpark the next day and I don’t recommend it on a hot Sunday. There were literally “wall-to-wall” people. Not only could we not find a chair to sit on, but every inch of grassy area was covered with beach towels and blankets. Both wave pools were packed with people and we were not impressed with the rides.

The park is clean and so many rides for every size. We get the family passes and go when ever we want to and for as long as we want to.Good food, expensive! I can’t wait to try the new water park!
The rides are what you would expect from any large amusement park, awesome. The water park is a nice way to spent the hotter part of the day. The shows are not worth spending much time on unless you are trying to beat the heat or need a respite.

Can I Pack My Own Lunch And Bring It Into Cedar Point
No, guests are not permitted to bring food or drinks into the park with the exception of individual unopened water bottles and for those with special dietary needs. Cedar Point does have a large picnic shelter located outside of the main entrance. There is no public picnic area located near Cedar Point Shores Waterpark.
How Much Does It Cost To Eat At Kings Dominion
The meal plan sells for $29.99 + tax per person, and includes an entree and side at most all restaurants, and you can eat as often as you like as long as you wait 90 min between meals. We were told by a Kings Dominion customer service rep that we will save a lot of money by choosing this plan, however, we LOST money.

Kings Island Season Passes
Another way to save money, especially if you plan on visiting Kings Island multiple times during the season is to purchase Kings Island season passes. Here is the current pricing for Kings Island season passes.
2021 Gold Pass: $120.00 The Gold pass includes unlimited season-long access to Kings Island and Soak City, free parking, and other perks.
2021 Platinum Pass: $202 The Platinum Pass gets you into all Cedar Fair parks across the US. Other benefits included depending on the park you visit.
Kings Island Season Passes also get you early entrance into Soak City as well as early access to select Kings Island rides.

Waldameer And Water World
Where: Erie, Pennsylvania
Opening date: May 15
Admission: There is no admission to enter Waldameer an all-day ride band is $34 . Combo pass with Water World is $45 and $34.50. Individual ride tickets are also available.
Hours: Weekends only in May and early June, daily operations start June 11. The park will be closed on Wednesdays this summer.
Whats new: Water World last summer debuted Rally Racer, a six-lane, head-first mat slide.
Know before you go: Masks are required except on water rides. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended but not required.
Candymonium debuted in 2020 at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania.
Reservations Needed For Soak City
The Soak City Water Park opens May 29 in time for Memorial Day weekend.
This year, reservations will be required at Soak City for all guests season passholders and single-day ticket buyers. Reservations can be made at the Kings Island website.
If you have already purchased tickets or season passes, you still need to make reservations for Soak City through the online reservation portal.

Parking At Kings Island
Parking passes are available to purchase in advance online when ordering tickets, or you can pay for parking at the front gate.
Single day parking at Kings Island costs $17 per vehicle. You can also buy a Preferred Parking pass for $27 if you want guaranteed parking towards the front of the park.
Kings Island allows you to leave the parking lot and return later as long as you show your original receipt of purchase for that day.
No Masks Outdoors But Still Required Indoors
The biggest change this year is that Kings Island guests dont need to wear masks when they are outdoors, which may be a relief on hot afternoons. Face coverings are still required for guests age 10 and older when they are indoors, though. That includes while on indoor rides such as Boo Blasters and Flight of Fear.
There are no limits on ride capacity.
There will be no more temperature checks at the front gate, but there will be health screen questionnaires conducted by staff.
Park officials also recommend parties maintain 6-foot social distancing from others.

Camp Cedar To Open In June
Its a bit early to check out Kings Islands new Camp Cedar just yet. The year-round outdoor luxury resort and RV campground is scheduled to open June 14. You can book your spot now.
The $27 million resort, located less than a mile from Kings Island, features both cottages and RV campsites, along with Hornbeam Lodge, two pools, a coffee and gelato bar and the Ironwood Grill & Tap restaurant.
Everyone In Your Family Loves To Ride Thrill Rides
Cedar Point has entertainment options for people of all ages, but its hard to justify the cost if you have several non-riders in your family. The rollercoasters are the main attraction at Cedar Point. If most of your family isnt going to ride rollercoasters, there are other entertainment options much cheaper than Cedar Point.
If you are going to purchase season passes to Cedar Point, Platinum Passes are the only way to go. The jump in perks between the two pass types is massive. Early entry, free parking, and access to other Cedar Fair parks are all only available with the Platinum Passes. If you are going to make the investment for season passes, you might as well spend a little more and get the full benefits.

A Bring-A-Friend Ticket allows a Season Passholder to bring a friend with them for free admission during their visit. Silver and Gold Season Passholders will receive all of their eligible Bring-A-Friend tickets when their Season Passes are made. Bronze Passholders are not eligible for Bring-A-Friend benefits. Some restrictions apply.
A Bring-A-Friend Days are specially designated days that allow Silver or Gold Passholders to bring a friend with them for free admission during their visit without having to present a Bring-A-Friend Ticket. Passholders simply show their Silver or Gold Pass at our ticketing turnstiles, and our team members will allow accompanying friend to enter the park for free.

What Is Cedar Point

Can I Take A Backpack Into Kings Island
Kings Island prohibits things like bags, food and drinks, and sunglasses on some of its rides. In those instances, youll either need to store the items in a locker or leave them with a non-rider. Cash and credit cards are accepted at all lockers. Season Pass locker rentals are available for season ticket holders.

Fast Lane, introduced at Kings Island in July 2011, is a secondary queue system that offers shorter wait times on the park’s most popular rides. In addition to the standard admission charge, visitors can bypass the standard wait line by purchasing a wrist band that grants access to the Fast Lane queue. A limited number of wrist bands are sold each day. The two options available for purchase are Fast Lane and Fast Lane Plus, the latter of which adds The Beast, Mystic Timbers, Kings Mills Antique Autos, Flight of Fear, Orion, and the Soak City attractions. Cedar Point Season Passes Perks
The perks mentioned above are just a snapshot of some of the perks associated with season passes at Cedar Point. What perks are most valuable, especially to a family of six like ours? While we love all the extra bonuses, its all about the rides and the food! The fact that you can get early access to the park and access to Cedar Point Shores anytime makes the Platinum Pass a great deal. The fact that we can get in free to all of the other Cedar Fair parks, like Kings Island, Michigans Adventure, and Dorney Park is incredible!
The dining plans sound like a great deal, although we generally pack our own lunch to save money at Cedar Point. We just take a break and head out to the picnic area outside the main gate and then re-enter the park. Then, we dine at one of Cedar Points restaurants for dinner. But if you dont care to pack your own food or dont want to leave the park, check out the dining plan for your family.
Update: Cedar Point removed most of the picnic area that has been a staple outside the front of the park forever. There are only a handful of picnic tables left and usually, people leave coolers to reserve them, so good luck if you are packing a picnic lunch during your visit.
