WalnutsJack Daniel’s needs no introduction, of course. Its Old No 7 is one of the world’s best-selling bourbons. Well, yes, Tennessee Whiskey I should actually say, because it is filtered over charcoal from the maple according to the so-called Lincoln County Process. But in addition to the Old No 7, there are some other expressions, such as this Gold No 27 that got a Maple Barrel Finish. Maple is a deciduous tree that also grows in our regions. It had not tasted this one since 2016. I then called it ‘toothless’. Wondering if it has gone through any evolution.Walnuts, chewing tobacco, raisins and nougat, that’s the nose of this Tennessee Whiskey in a nutshell. In addition, but to a lesser extent, something that reminds me of rum, as well as some popcorn. But all very mild, I must confess.Rather light body, honestly. Raisins, honey, maple syrup, figs, tobacco, dried apricots, corn on the BBQ. But again just a little spiciness, which makes it very mild. The finish is rather short, soft and sweet and slightly drying. Popcorn and walnuts return to the deathbed.It is as I remember it. Pleasant, better than the Old No 7 , but unfortunately too expensive for what you get, in my opinion.

PRODUCER: The Jack Daniel’s Distillery of Lynchburg, Moore County, Tennessee is a subsidiary of Brown-Forman. Despite being the best-selling American whiskey on the planet, nearby residents have to cross county lines to buy it, since Moore is a dry’ county. Jack Daniels was the youngest of 10 children, and his grandparents were Welsh and Scottish immigrants to the US.

A double-barreled and double-mellowed expression of its classic Jack Daniels Old No. 7 TennesseeWhiskey, the premium bottle brings a fusion between warm maple and toasted oak to create a rich and refined finish suited for todays whiskey aficionado.
Representative of the skill and craftsmanship of the Jack Daniel Distillery, the process first begins with maturation in new charred American white oak barrels. Once these barrels are determined to be fully matured, they are removed from the barrelhouse and the whiskey is placed into maple wood barrels. The final step is a second time charcoal mellowing before being bottled.

For those unfamiliar with the world of malt spirits, every whisky is the same as another. The Jack Daniel’s Gold Nº 27 , however, it stands out. In the meantime, we are talking about a Tennessee whiskey whose manufacturing process is different from any other. Unlike the classic Jack Daniel’s Old No.7, the Jack Daniel’s Gold Nº 27 undergoes a double filtration in saccharine maple charcoal, which gives the distillate its characteristic sweet notes. The amber colour is due, on the other hand, to the double ageing in barrels: the first takes place in the classic American white oak barrels carbonized inside the second in maple barrels. The microscopic porosity of the wood allows a slight oxidation and the woods of the barrels imprint their essences in the distillate. Before being bottled, then, the whiskey undergoes a second filtration, again through maple charcoal, which releases the last olfactory, taste and chromatic notes.
The Jack Daniel’s Gold Nº 27 is produced in the iconic Lynchburg distillery along the historic American Whiskey Trail. Created by master distiller Jeff Arnett, it is available in limited edition. Bring it with a slice of lemon and accompanied by some salted walnuts at a temperature of 18-20ºC, as an aperitif or as a digestive. Tasting it can be considered a luxury and a pleasure!

7.2.2 there is a risk that supply of the products may be significantly delayed because of events outside our control
