How To Farm Gold Wow Classic

Don't Miss

Track Prices Through The Week

125+ Gold Per Hour Goldfarm for ALL Classes in Classic WoW

Some items will also increase and decrease in value through the week. Most items will increase a bit during peak hours like on weekends, while items used in raids will increase by quite a bit on days with a lot of raids.

Many guilds will raid on reset day so pay attention to when raids reset and what items are used a lot in that raid. This will be items like potions, flasks, food and misc. buff items.

A good way to track this is having a simple spreadsheet and writing down the value of an item throughout the week.

Gold Farming Locations Level 1

Farming is important to bring in that early gold, so you can start investing and making several income streams.

The reason most players start farming gold early on is to get their mount at level 40. Start out by doing what we covered in the previous part of the guide regarding bank alts, bag space, and professions. In my opinion, the best professions to get if you want your mount at 40 is Herbalism, Mining or Skinning.

Basilisks Vendor Trash Farms

If you want to avoid the auction house basilisks are a good farming option. They drop a lot of good vendor trash, giving you the payout as soon as you return to town. The downside is there are no high-level basilisks in the game with even better trash.

Check out the basilisks in Blasted Lands, Stranglethorn Vale, Tanaris, and UnGoro Crater.

Choose The Best Gathering Profession

Herbing is particularly good because some players will use potions almost immediatelyincluding healing potions and defensive elixirsdue to Classics relatively high risk of damage and death at lower levels.

Skinning can be less lucrative, and takes less time away from leveling, since you skin things as you kill them. But you wont have to compete for nodes the way you do with herbing or mining.

Mining is useful in several professions, including blacksmithing and engineering, and the demand tends to rise the closer players get to level cap. But, remember, gathering professions do not give experience in World of Warcraft Classic the way they do in the live game. Time spent herbing and mining is time away from leveling.

Whichever profession you go for, the Gatherer mod is useful as it lets you track herb and mining spawn locations.

Gather And Sell As You Level

Best Gold Farming Wow Classic

Start by only picking up gathering professions as you make your way from 1-60. Generally this will be herbing and skinning, or herbing and mining, but enchanting counts as well . Don’t collect the items for use by yourself, but sell to others who are engaged in more traditional crafting professions.

Dire Maul East And Zulfarrak

These are technically not WoW Classic Phase 5 farms per see, but they are very much still relevant. Thats because they rely less on AH prices, which tend to fluctuate. And, unlike the two previous gold farms, you can solo these ones, albeit theres a catch. Farming DM East and ZF can yield lots of good if you know what youre doing but farming these dungeons is, for the most part, only efficient if youre playing a Mage. Classes like Hunter can also be successful but for others, its pretty much impossible.

DM East is the most profitable of the two and can easily get you 100+ gold per hour. About half of that comes from selling items that drop from mobs directly to the vendor, although you can potentially make even more by selling on the AH or disenchanting them, and then selling the mats. Youll want to do five runs back-to-back before you go back to town to sell items and resupply. By the end of the five runs, youll also have plenty of herbs like Dreamfoil, Groomsblood, Fadeleaf and even the occasional Ghost Mushroom, all of which sell pretty well on the AH.

How Much Stormscale And Stonehide Leather Sell For

Obviously, this will vary per server, and I highly recommend you do some research before you just blindly dive in. But on my server , Stormscales typically sell for 20g each in the mornings and around 30-35g during primetime . So for that stack of 200 that took you 40 minutes, you can easily earn an average of 5,000 gold, and Ive sold full stacks for 7K before .

Stonehide isnt quite as lucrative because its easier to come by, but its close, and again, it depends on your servers economy. On my server, they min at 17g and max at 25g each.

This is, by far, the quickest gold earner right now, as you will typically sell your hides and scales within an hour or so of posting them.

Farming Primals / Motes

Primals and motes sell for good prices and also sell very fast on the auction house. Here are some of the best areas to farm these in Outland during WoW TBC Classic.

Elemental Plateau Mote of Air, Fire, Water, Earth Farm Spots

This is the mecha of all farming locations in TBC Classic. The issue with this place is that it is usually heavily farmed, especially at peak hours. Take a trip here if you are playing in the early mornings or through the work day. If the area is not overfarmed, this is your best bet for maximum gold.

Netherstorm Primal Mana Farm Spot

All over Netherstorm are great sources of Primals. Our favourite place is this are that is abundant in Motes of Mana from both the eels and the rays in the area. Hop on that Rare WoW Mount and head on over to start farming like a boss.

Shadowmoon Valley Primal Air Farm Spot

Shadowmoon Valley has a great spot for Primal Air close to the Altar of Shadows. Again the issue with this area is it is usually pretty busy and only one or two players can farm efficiently at a time. If you catch it on off-peak hours, it is a great gold gain.

Nagrand Primal Shadow Farm Spot

Primal Shadow usually sells for a little less than the other primals we have mentioned here. This also means that the areas to farm it are less contested by other players. It may turn out that because you can kill so many more mobs in a given time period, you may come up more profitable in this spot.

Items To Invest In For Phases

Other Gold Farming Tips

Now that you know the basics of the gold making, lets take a look at tips that will help you save some gold, and get extra profit.

  • Faction discounts apply to the flyers and trainers as well, so dont be so quick to throw away newbie quests that you forget to complete they help out to get reputation and save you some gold in the long run.
  • Go Swimming there are often chests at the bottom of lakes as well as mineral nodes that wont show up on radar until you are submerged.
  • Minimize Class and Profession training. You should only train what you actually use and need, dont waste your money on other skills. This logic goes both for class skills and for profession training if you can get away with some recipes that increase your profession skill, just do it.
  • Save your money. Be smart and think twice before buying items from the Auction House. It is better to get upgrades from quests or from dungeons. Dungeons, at the same time, are source for gathering BoE items, recipes and BoP items that you will sell to a vendor for a good amount of money, or disenchant them.
  • Low-level Fishing Opportunities

Gathering up the fish that are needed by others to level their crafting professions, such as Oily Blackmouth, Firefin Snapper, and Stonescale Eel can provide a lot of gold.

The best way is to combine fishing with cooking and selling the cooked foods with stat increases rather than sell raw fish in the Auction House.

Wow Burning Crusade Classic Professions Tips

In WoW Classic, Professions play a major role in both making money and providing those sought-after items towards the end of the game.

One of the easiest ways to earn extra gold is by picking up gathering professions as early as possible any two of either Mining, Herbalism, or Skinning. With Jewelcrafting introduced in Burning Crusade Classic, farming mining spots in locations like Nagrand at higher levels are a great choice.

While Jewelcrafting and similar crafting professions make money by creating items or providing services that are very valuable, they also take up resources. As such, it will be more efficient to take up gathering professions while leveling. Once at level 70, you can then switch over to crafting professions once youve built up enough of a bank to store items in.

Its not just the major professions you should be considering, though. Secondary professions can all be picked up in addition to your two primary professions, giving you the option to either make a little more money by selling your creations or using them for yourself.

    Playing The Auction House

Blizzard says WoW Classicâs gold farming exploits are âunder control ...

Players who can effectively play the Auction House will often find the most success when it comes to making gold. Almost every player will need to use the Auction House in some capacity, so using it to your advantage to make money off of the games population as opposed to feeding gold into it will be a great way to achieve long standing wealth in WoW: TBC Classic.

The best way to make consistent money off the Auction House is to buy raiding materials such as potions and flasks at a low price during the weekend, and then sell them for a higher price after the raid reset on Tuesday. When raids reset during the week, raiders will inevitably be looking for potions and flasks, so sitting on the ones you bought at a low price until youre able to list them for a high price will net you a ton of gold week in, week out.

In the meantime, if you notice that a specific item on the Auction House, like as a material like cloth or herbs, is listed abnormally low, you can use a similar strategy to hike the price up once you claim the materials for yourself.

Keep in mind that playing the Auction House like its the Stock Market could get tedious for some players, and is only a recommended strategy for players who are genuinely interested in turning gold-making into a core part of the WoW experience.

The Best Gold Farming Classes In Wow Classic Season Of Mastery

With the release of WoW Classic Season of Mastery, we have a brand new gold farming opportunity in the game. There are some coming to the Season of Mastery that will help balance things out, and I’ll make the most of classes in certain areas. Here MmoGah, as , will cover all the classes for gold making and rank them in order from the Best to Worst.

    1. Mages

Mages are the No.1 class for gold farming as they can pull a lot of mobs, knock them down, and use the line of sight strategies to avoid caster mobs. They can also be able to re-farm inside dungeons as long as they can nuke down the mobs before they become immune to slow effects or face tank the Mumps and deal damage with Arcane Explosion.

They own the highest ranged damage potential in the game, from the start as a Frost Mage to the finish as a Fire Mage, and have some tools for every type of situation and convenience, as well as the best Crowd Control tools in the game. Click to learn more.

    2. Paladins

They have huge potential in Season of Mastery, as they might become the new boosting meta. This all depends on whether or not Blizzard nerfs the XP you get when you have a high-level player in the group, but even if they do, Paladins have great possibilities. When it comes to AoE farming, both in the open world and dungeons, especially inside dungeons, they might actually be better than Mages.

    3. Hunters

    4. Warlocks

    5. Rogues

    6. Druids

    7. Warriors

    8. Priests

    9. Shamans

    Dust Stormers In Silithus

Mobs in Silithus are an excellent source of materials, gold and items. Elementals in these areas drop a lot of green and blue items, gold and other vendor junk but most importantly they drop essences. Were looking for Dust Stormers in Silithus since they can drop Essence of Air and occasionally, Travelers Backpack. You can make A LOT of gold in this area, provided its not heavily camped by others. Keep in mind you have to be at least level 48-50 to grind the Stormers effectively. Here are their locations:

In Classic, there are no passive combat bonuses for choosing specificprofessions. This means that you are free to choose whatever you would like.Despite this, professions can be incredibly important for lots of things, and it isimportant to consider the possible benefits before choosing. Some professionsare great for making gold, while some are more suited to helping you in actualgameplay.

Wow Tbc Classic Gold Farming Guidelines

Low Level Gold Farms in Classic WoW Season of Mastery

Blizzard announced the opening of the Dark Portal the release of the WoW Classic: Burning Crusade expansion on 1st of June, 2021. This comes as a surprise to many, as most of the playerbase is really Not Prepared to delve into the expansion. The players were anticipating its release somewhere in the midst of July or August. The time from the pre-patch to the release is really short, counting as 2 weeks only.

Many changes come with Outlands and the opening of the Dark Portal. Old gear, even the strongest epics will need to be replaced as they will be deemed outdated even by level 63. If we see the same influx of players as on the release of WoW Classic, farming gold in the Burning Crusade will most certainly be a daunting task, considering tens of thousands of gold coins are needed for profession leveling, gear upgrades, spells and abilities as well as the expensive flying mounts.

Top 4 Ways To Farm Gold In Wow Tbc Classic

How you ultimately decide to farm WOW Classic Gold all depends on how you want to spend your time in the TBC servers. Remember that even though some options could give you more gold than others, the important thing is that you have fun. So, without further ado, here you have the best ways to earn coins in World of Warcraft TBC:

WoW Burning Crusade Classic Professions tips

In WoW Classic, Professions play a major role in both making money and providing those sought-after items towards the end of the game.

One of the easiest ways to earn extra gold is by picking up gathering professions as early as possible any two of either Mining, Herbalism, or Skinning. With Jewelcrafting introduced in Burning Crusade Classic, farming mining spots in locations like Nagrand at higher levels are a great choice.

Wow Burning Crusade Classic Gold Farming Tips

    Loot everything

You’ll pick up a lot of junk when you loot enemies. You may also be tempted to only loot the stuff that looks worthwhile, but money you can make by selling grey items will soon add up.

Get into the habit of checking how much items are worth on the auction house, too. It may be tempting to sell unwanted stuff to a vendor for convenience, but you may get way more for it by selling to other players.

    Optimise your bag space

Having lots of bag space as you can get is always worthwhile, but it’s especially important if you have a gathering profession. The materials will quickly take up room in your bags and you don’t want to have to make needless trips to offload at a bank or the auction house. Even if you don’t want to bother with professions, it’s still a good idea to clear out your bags as often as you can.

    Make a second character

Having a second character is useful for a few reasons. You won’t have to level the character to 70, but standing them next to a bank and mailbox means you can send any excess stuff from your main character to them easily. There’s no auction house in Outland either, so if you’re planning on selling stuff, it might make sense to use an alt camped next to one in Azeroth.

Of course, if you’re planning on actually leveling another character, all the better. Choose a couple of WoW Classic professions that complement your main character’s choices and put them to work, too. A third could be your glorified personal banker.
