Who Owns The Warriors
The Warriors were purchased by a group led by Peter Guber, a Hollywood producer, and Joe Lacob, a venture capitalist, in 2010 for approximately $450 million. Lacob, acting as majority owner, bought the franchise from Chris Cohan, who had owned the team since the mid-1990s. Before that, Cohan bought the team Jim Fitzgerald and Dan Finnane in 1985.
Grizzlies Coach Offers His Keys To The Game
During his pregame availability, Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins noted some points of emphasis from film study of his teams game last Sunday against the Warriors. Jenkins said his team needs to be mindful of its transition defense, contesting shots more effectively and collecting defensive rebounds.
In addition, Jenkins said, Weve got to do a better job getting better shots, a better balance of not just scoring in the paint but scoring from the 3-point line. I thought we missed a lot of opportunities there to have better ball movement. Youre going to need that against a really optimum defense.
Jenkins also indicated he doesnt expect recent heavy minutes for key players to impair his rotations tonight. This is a win-or-go-home opportunity, Jenkins said. Weve going to put it on the line and go out there and play hopefully our best basketball. As many minutes as it takes, thats what itll take.

Ingram Scores 32 Pelicans Beat Depleted Warriors 101
NEW ORLEANS Brandon Ingram broke out of a shooting slump with 32 points and the New Orleans Pelicans snapped a three-game skid with a 101-96 victory over the depleted Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
”You could tell from the start of the game that he was playing at a different pace,” Pelicans coach Willie Green said of Ingram, who made 12 of 20 shots after hitting just 8 of 36 in his previous two games back from a sore Achilles. ”He was aggressive, and he had intention. He knew where he wanted to get, and he got to his spots and jumped up and shot the ball. He got to the free throw line. It just took him a couple games to get back in rhythm.”
Warriors’ leading scorer Stephen Curry was ruled out after hurting his left quad during a loss a night earlier in Dallas. Also held out was veteran leader and leading rebounder Draymond Green because of a sore hip.
Meanwhile, both teams apparently were missing their 3-point shooting range, combining to miss 52 shots from deep.
The Pelicans appeared to have the game in hand when they led 94-84 on rookie Herb Jones’ layup with 1:27 to go. Then they nearly self-destructed.
Golden State guard Jordan Poole hit a layup, and after New Orleans’ Gary Clark had Jones’ pass slip off his hands and out of bounds, Poole quickly hit a 30-foot 3. The Warriors then stole the ball from guard Devonte’ Graham in the back court and Jonathan Kuminga hit a layup to make it 94-91 with 51.5 seconds remaining.

How Does Andrew Wiggins’ Role Change With Klay Thompson’s Injury
Losing Klay Thompson to a season-ending Achilles injury before the season started is an undeniably horrific blow for the Warriors. It instantly impacts their title hopes in an adverse manner, and at this point, one cannot help but question how the All-Star two-guard is going to look once he returns from a two-season injury spell on the sidelines.
This does provide an opportunity for Andrew Wiggins. After arriving in Golden State in February of last year as part of the D’Angelo Russell deal, Wiggins was only able to play in 12 games for the Warriors before the season came to an abrupt end. During that span, the 25-year-old averaged 19.4 points , 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks in 33.6 minutes per game. He also drained 1.7 triples per game on a 33.9-percent clip.
Wiggins is no Klay Thompson, but he does have what it takes to emerge as the Warriors’ unbridled second option on offense behind Stephen Curry. Wiggins has shown that he can thrive in coach Steve Kerr’s system, and 2020-21 could be a breakout year for the former first overall pick.

Warriors Vs Mavericks Injury Report
The Warriors come into this game almost with their roster completely healthy, except Andre Iguodala, still with ankle injury problems, James Wiseman, who continues his recovery after entering health and safety protocols, while Klay Thompson is very close to reappear, although he is not yet fit to do so against Mavs.
Dallas has four absences, including Kristaps Porzingis, who along with Trey Burke entered the NBA’s health and safety protocol, as well as Boban Marjanovic, who tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, Willie Cauley-Stein will be absent for personal reasons.
Warriors’ Andre Iguodala: Likely To Play Tuesday
Iguodala is listed as probable Tuesday against Denver.
It appears that the veteran will be back in action for the first time since the Warriors’ win over the Kings last Monday, as the forward has been battling knee soreness. Across 16 outings this year, Iguodala is posting 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per matchups.

Warriors’ Stephen Curry: Dismantles Grizzlies
Curry provided 46 points , four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Thursday’s 113-104 victory over the Grizzlies.
Curry erupted for his second-highest scoring mark of the season and his fifth performance of the year with at least 40 points. He also had his second-most free-throw attempts and makes of the year. Fantasy managers are hoping this will start an upward trend back up for Curry, whose numbers have dipped significantly from Nov. 30 onward. In his 10 appearances before Thursday’s performance, he averaged 24.1 points on just 37.0 percent shooting, plus only 4.4 assists to 3.7 turnovers.
Will Health Be A Problem For The Warriors Again In 2020
Five consecutive trips to the NBA Finals took their toll on the Warriors’ stars during the 2019-20 season Thompson was shelved with an injury suffered during the last Finals run and Curry had a freak hand fracture early in the season. Besides that, though, it’s fair to assume that a near-year rest for the two stars should help them recuperate heading into 2020-21.
Further, these two specific injuries were not ones of repetition , they were a single broken bone and a torn ACLboth requiring surgery, but not injuries borne out of lingering issues re-aggravated by continual use .
Of course, Thompson tore his Achilles tendon ahead of the 2020-21 season, putting a real damper on their title hopes. However, theres no reason to believe health will be a problem for Curry and the rest of the roster.

Warriors’ Otto Porter: Scores 19 To Push Warriors To Win
Porter totaled 19 points , six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Saturday’s 116-107 win over Phoenix.
Porter couldn’t have picked a better time to notch a new season high in points, as he helped the shorthanded Warriors take down the Suns for the second time in three meetings. Thirteen of Porter’s 19 points came in the fourth quarter, and he drilled a dagger three-pointer with 1:06 remaining to put Golden State up 116-107. Porter hasn’t been consistent enough to warrant holding in most leagues this season, but he could be a viable streamer for another game or two if Andrew Wiggins remains sidelined.

The Bucks Announce The Signing Of A Former Warriors Player
The Milwaukee Bucks have announced the signing of Jeff Dowtin Jr. to a 10-day contract, and the announcement from the team can be seen in the tweet that is embedded below. Dowtin had most recently been on a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors, but was waived on Sunday. He has averages of 1.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in four games this season for the Warriors.
Who Are The Warriors Assistant Coaches
During the 2019-20 season, Steve Kerr’s bench consisted of former Cleveland Cavaliers and Lakers head coach Mike Brown, Jarron Collins , Ron Adams, and Bruce Fraser. The player development coach was Chris DeMarco.
Brown has interviewed with multiple head-coaching vacancies in the offseason, though, so it’s unclear whether he will stay on board or not.

Who Is The Warriors’ Head Coach
Steve Kerr was hired by Golden State in the summer of 2014 after spurning the New York Knicks, led by then-president and his former coach Phil Jackson, signing a five-year deal. The Warriors had fired head coach Mark Jackson after a first-round playoff exit in seven games against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Who Are The Top 5 Warriors Players Of All Time
If Stephen Curry is the team’s best player and most distinguished one in the modern era, who are the other four getting nods? The first, and most obvious, has to be Wilt Chamberlain. The Hall of Fame center spent six seasons with the then-Philadelphia Warriors and later San Francisco dubbed team and was an all-time great. An All-Star every year, Chamberlain didn’t win a chip with the Warriors but was once the most recognizable basketball star and led the league in scoring every season with the Warriors.
Rick Barry was an icon for the Bay Area Warriors, winning Rookie of the Year and a scoring title along with becoming an All-Star every year with Golden State. After an ABA hiatus, Barry returned and the Hall of Famer led the Warriors to their first championship win in California, earning the 1975 Finals MVP, too.
Forward Paul Arizin deserves a spot, too. Arizin spent his entire 10-year NBA career with the Warriorsan All-Star every seasonand lost two years due to serving in the Marines during conflict in Korea. Arizin won the 1956 Finals for the then-Philadelphia franchise.
Lastly is Nate Thurmond, the third overall pick out of Bowling Green in 1963 who became Chamberlain’s replacement at center within the next two years. Thurmond was a seven-time All-Star who, unfortunately, didn’t win a championship with the team in ’75 as he was traded in the offseason prior to that run. Thurmond is a Hall of Famer and played the second-most games in franchise history.

Curry Scores 37 Durant Season
NEW YORK Stephen Curry exited the court to one last chorus of ”MVP! MVP!” chants, a sound that even he thought was weird.
It is, after all, Kevin Durant’s home arena.
It was Curry’s night, though.
A matchup with his former teammate had Curry revved up, as did the chance to bounce back from a loss in Charlotte on Sunday.
”So it’s not the playoffs, but there’s an intensity that you have to show up to beat a team like that,” Curry said. ”You thrive off that competitive atmosphere, knowing that there’s a lot of talent on the floor.”
Durant came in leading the league with 29.6 points per game, but he managed only 19, the first time all season he didn’t hit 20. He shot 0 for 8 in the decisive third quarter and finished 6 for 19 after sitting the fourth.
”They got long defenders, guys that can help, so seeing bodies all the time when I had the ball, that’s what great defenses do. And then some shots I wish I could’ve had back,” Durant said. ”I rushed a few once we got down 15, 20. I’m trying to get it back so fast you end up taking bad shots and rushed shots.”
Curry almost caught his former teammate for the NBA scoring lead, making nine 3-pointers and raising his average to 28.7 per game. Durant dropped to 28.9.
He was way better than that.
